Nature Encounters!

This just in from Caralee Aldrege! Thanks so much for sharing your incredible story with our group!

This happened 2 or 3 weeks ago in my backyard. We recently moved to Tonto Basin and so we are out in the middle of wilderness and in a small town. Our house is on the edge of a 50 foot ravine and I was taking my trash out and I rounded the corner and I saw something run away. I looked up and it was a bobcat! Just as he was about to jump over the edge of the ravine, to go down to the creek that’s back there, he paused and looked at me, and I looked at him and he looked at me. We sat there for a few seconds, a number of seconds to where it felt like we were having a conversation. He was like, “Hey, How are you?” and I was like, “Oh! Good. It’s a great day.” He starts wagging his tail and he’s like, “Ya, it’s pretty nice out. Well, thanks for letting me use your yard. I’ll see you later.” And he jumped over the edge of the ravine and ran away and it was pretty amazing experience!
